This post is Part 5 of a writing series titled My Computer Problems.

Now to start out with I am a certified Malware expert and a computer technician. I work about 20 -30 hours a week. So I have some experience about this type of stuff.

To begin with I will start by describing Malware. Malware is malicious software, Viruses, spyware, and other stuff. Malware is very bad. If you do online banking or shopping Spyware will steal your credit card numbers and your back account number. Spyware is difficult to classify and some times appears to be ligament software, like anti virus 2008, or Vista anti spyware. Programs like these will download them selves onto your computer without you asking them to. They will then "scan" your computer for Malware and tell you that you have 300 infected files. Please buy this software to clean it out. 99% of the time the program brought the stuff it picks up or it is ligament windows files. If you buy the software it will infect your computer more. You will also be supplying the person who designed the Malware with your credit card information and they will clean out your account.

Viruses on the other hand are designed to cause damage to the computer and to destroy information. Viruses can spread from computer to computer across a network and can bring the whole network down.

Some valid security software includes: McAfee, Symantic's Norton security, AVG, Trend-Micro, and CA Internet security. There are others I am sure but I don't know them of the top of my head. I suggest that you do a Google search before you install security software from the internet. Just to make sure that it is legit.

Some free Security software is AVG Free, and Avast. Some free Anti-Spyware programs are: Windows Defender, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM), Super Anti-Spyware (SAS), Spybot search and destroy, and Adaware.

Now that we have asserted what Malware is and does and some programs that you can use to get rid of it lets look at where it comes from. Malware is just a piece of code written by someone. A place that is packed full of Malware is sharing websites like LimeWire or BitTorrent. Because these website have free sharing people who write Malware can release it online for free discised has something else. Other places is they build their own websites and put in lots of key words that search engines pick up and direct you to and once there they download their software onto you computer.
