 | I wrote this poem for my single mom who raised me all on her own. She has sacrificed so much for me, and I am forever grateful. I love you mom! :P | | This post has been awarded 16 stars by 4 readers. |
You're my best friend, my most loyal companion. You've been there throughout the short years of my life.
I don't know what I'd do if you were ever gone. You've just always been there helping me along, no matter how hard I fought to push you away.
Your words have comforted me through the long nights; we have talked and laughed deep into the dark of loss and pain, your life and love.
Your strength pushes me; I'm better for you. Your blunt words and hard advice lead me through the years; your knowledge astounds me.
Your love holds me embraced in God and truth. You taught me to fight for what I believed; I am strong for you.
You told me to push; to love through the hurt and the pain that fights to bring me down to misery and darkness, and hate so deep.
You have been more than you needed to be. You are my mentor and teacher, my friend and confidante that I can tell everything to. You're my mother and Guide.
