Just like a cart without a bridled horse, Or like a violin without a bow, As empty as a shell without a yolk, As dismal as a winter without snow, As empty as a dried up river bed, As cold as hands without a warming glove, So is a law-abiding citizen Who still is lacking sacrificial love.
