Yeah, same here - I went with some friends who wanted to see it and I figured it would just be another decent action movie at the most, but I was surprised too. His one-liners cracked me up - especially when he was talking to his robotic arms all the time... quite hilarious.

I went there and looked, but did not see any link to approve edits. The box beside my title is yellow, so maybe they're not done with it yet? Not sure. In any case, I'm ok with what is done regarding editing.

Can I make my new poem (the long version) go in the writing prompt?

Yeah, that's cool with me.

Well, I don't suppose as how that'd be a problem. If you think it needs it, sure.

Doug,

You're a fan of the band Kutless, right? I've heard "Strong Tower" and "Promise of a Lifetime" on the radio, but I didn't know if you had any other personal favorites you'd recommend. So, got any?

Do you remember the name of the book? Is it just me or do you get books that you have once read tangled together? I think this means that I'm attracted to certain kinds of genres that eventually have the same plot, types of characters and endings. I once read that the books we are drawn to tells alot about our inner being. You think this is a valid reason?

RE: Physics
If I reformat as you suggested and work on my meter, the internal rhyme of taught and ought isn't lost. It comes on a stress, but so do some of the other internal rhymes.

There are a few other meter issues to work on sometime. I'll see what i can do when i get a chance.

In reference to the train poem, I’m not sure there is a good way to break it up, so maybe no breaks is best. I wish I hadn’t lost the other lines, but I did, so we’ll have to do with what we have.

Regarding “Three Men on a Hill” and capitalization, you can go ahead and capitalize everything, and it will be fine. I used to capitalize “Him” and “His” too, for the same reasons (respect for God and tradition), but stopped when I noticed it wasn’t in the Bible. However I was reading The King James and NIV at the time. I should have looked into it more carefully, and I would have seen that the NASB and New King James both do capitalize, while the ASV doesn’t. I don’t know how the translators of each version made their decisions. The NIV is modern and it doesn’t use capitals. It doesn’t matter though. Since it’s proper, I have no problem capitalizing “His”, and “Lamb” too. I just wanted to be sure of what was correct.

Thank you for explaining your reasoning Scripturally and grammatically, as I asked, and feel free to make both suggestions that you indicated (P3 and P12).

Hey Doug,

I apologize for not responding to you very often on here. I use facebook like crazy but I haven't logged in here for probably a couple months. I may check out that Pun writing prompt though, now that I have a little free time!

I'm doing well. All moved and set up at my folks house. Most of my stuff is down in their basement at this point! I just got a message from Ira tonight, and their first pulpit committee meeting is Thursday, so things down there are progressing. I'm going to try to make it down there in the next couple of weeks and just sit in on a service and kinda start getting to know folks, though of course I already know may people in that church. I'm pretty excited about pursuing this opportunity!

Well, I don't want this message to qualify as my first writing post so I'll cut it off here. Now that I'm back in town, we need to get together! Give me a call or email and we'll do coffee or somethin.

- Nate
