When I was young I saw in black and white, And answered every question no or yes; There were no shades of gray, just wrong and right; No need to puzzle, figure, or to guess. But then I gained a new mentality As quandaries of my life grew more involved; Beyond the issues of morality, Were things too convoluted to resolve. So many complex questions come my way - Conundrums that I cannot understand; With far too many options to be weighed, I'm always saying "On the other hand." With all the hands I need, there'd be no harm To have an octopus's many arms.

Comments vessels Oct 3, 2008 | I like your poem. It's clever how you tied the observation of life in with how it would be beneficial to be an octopus. That's cool! ~Posted by vessels, Oct 3, 2008 |
