Writing Prompt: National Poetry Writing Month - Week Three
April is National Poetry Writing Month, so we will devote this month to poetry writing prompts.
From the serious, to the silly, to the mundane, poems have covered many, many topics. However, the two biggest mainstays seem to be love and death. From Robert Burns's My Love Is Like a Red, Red Rose
, to Dylan Thomas's Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night
, the mystery inherent in both of these topics continues to keep poets coming back for more.
Choose either love or death, and write a poem about it. Don't worry about whether you're saying something that has been said before. Everyone's experience will have its differences!
