Too painful- too close- it makes me think
of times gone by. How I started to sink
as the loving child that I once bore
changed into something else before
my very eyes.
A mother cries.
But somewhere within my heart was hope,
though buried deep. I learned to cope
without that boy, the terror, the strife;
gradually building a whole new life.
She's dried her eyes.
How time flies.
