All the family’s at the airport standing in the queue.
The baby’s getting restless, and Michael's lost his shoe.
Mum found it though, so that’s OK, but she didn’t look too glad-
she just turned round and rolled her eyes at our long-suffering dad.
“Why did we think this would be fun?” she moaned. She sounded stressed.
“Not long till we board the plane”, said Dad, “and then you’ll get some rest.”
At last the bags were all checked in, and seats were allocated.
Off we went to the passenger lounge where we waited and we waited.
Then came an announcement, but our woes were not allayed.
When we discovered that our flight was lengthily delayed.

A book I find fascinating, even though I completely disagree with its philosophy!
