 | I've tried to use rhythm to evoke a suburban train trip. Tin cans are often placed on the top of paw paw trees - I'm not a gardener so I'm not sure why. These trees are very common in the back gardens of suburban Brisbane, Australia. | | This post has been awarded 20 stars by 5 readers. |
From the train window on the Shorncliffe line The back yards pass us by. Tall trees, short trees, Leafy trees, bare trees, Reaching for the sky. Against old wooden fences with gaps in the slats Stand skinny scaly sentinels Wearing rusty tin can hats. Good for the digestion Rich in vitamin C Fruits in breast heavy clusters On the paw paw tree.
