Spring Is in the Air?

I tried to write about the spring and the warmth that it would bring.
I tried to think of buds on trees, of colourful blossoms, of birds and bees.
I tried, alas, to no avail, all my endeavours were to fail.
I just can’t wait for winter’s chill – of summer heat I’ve had my fill—
Because you see it’s autumn here, in the Southern hemisphere.
