‘Yvonne said her mother’s a Nemic.’

‘What’s a Nemic?’

‘I don’t know, but I think she’s sick.’

‘Julie might know. Hey, Julie! What’s a Nemic?’

‘Anemic? Anemia means you haven’t got enough red blood cells or something. I think you’ve got to eat liver. Why?’

‘Yuck! Yvonne said her mother’s one.’

'One what?

'Nemic.'

'Anemic?'

'Yeah.'
