Colourful posters beckon from the travel agent’s wall.
Glossy brochures tell me I can see and do it all.
I could take a trip to Bali or even Timbuktu –
Holiday land is filled with things that I could see or do:
A gondola in Venice, New York’s buildings tall,
A week or two at Uluru or New England in the fall.
Hiking round Tasmania, riding camels back o' Bourke.
Though I must say that starts to sound a bit like too much work.
So many sights, so many flights to the world’s exciting places,
Trouble is I’m overwhelmed – my heart it thumps & races.
I’m not that keen to travel by bus or car or train
And I don’t much fancy flying in a Jumbo jet or plane.
This is a dream vacation when all is done and said,
I think I’ll curl up with a book and travel in my head.

Now there's a vacation I can appreciate! :)

Anyone who enjoyed Alice in Wonderland should love this silly romp through a world of words and fantasy and double entendre.
