The desert's a place with weather extreme
So hot in the summer it turns water to steam
It rains very seldom and when it does it's a storm
A sky of dark clouds turns my wee town forlorn
As it pours from the heavens it makes rivers of doom
Sweeping all that's before it like a giant wet broom
Flash-floods are our terror never knowing when they'll arrive
It's so scary that raindrops can make you pray to survive
