My blind stab for iambic pentameter

For the need of a couplet at my desk I do sit
This poem in my head has words that don't fit
I stare at my page yet it remains a blank
As my hopes for Pentameter have all but sank
Still I carry on with such a need to create
That I stay at my task with new hope I await
While my eyes grow weary with a need for sleep
Surly I can find an iambic to keep
