 | Ah. Finally I got SOMETHING written! | | This post has been awarded 23 stars by 5 readers. |
I got up this morning and thought I would write A sonnet most wonderful, cheerful and bright, But as I sat thinking of what I'd compose, My thoughts were all scrambled; my brain simply froze. It seems that my muses all chose to conspire, And my clever ideas got stuck in the mire. My rhymes were all stupid, my rhythm was shot, And my poem was utterly lacking in plot. I despise writer's block with a passionate hate - For a writer like me it's the most horrid fate. If my muses are dead, and they can't be revived, Then it feels like the end of the world has arrived.

Well, I'm glad that it looks like your muses *aren't* dead. ;-) ~Posted by Katie, May 8 | Rabbit Stu May 8 | Well, it took me a long time to resurrect the muses. I had so many false starts on this writing prompt it wasn't even funny. Then when I decided to write a poem about not being able to write a poem, it didn't occur to me immediately that I could make it fit the writing prompt! :) ~Posted by Rabbit Stu, May 8 |
