I'm not a picky eater, it is true,
But certain foods, they make me feel quite ill
And cause some stomach churning as I chew;
Their taste and texture are enough to kill.
There's broccoli, and then there's liverwurst,
There's cauliflower, dandelion stew,
And squid or octopus - they are the worst -
They could not possibly be good for you!
But when it comes to vilest things to eat,
There is a feast that I would not suggest;
For many fools partake, and then agree,
It's horrid aftertaste is deadliest.
This worst of feasts, the lowest of the low,
Is when you're wrong, and have to eat some crow.

Ewwww.... but good rhymes here.
I have to admit, I almost expected you to use the word "beet" somewhere, especially to rhyme with "eat" :-D

One of my favorite Grisham novels; this story makes me laugh more than any of his others.
