Have a seat, my dear son, and please lend me your ear, To discuss the vacation I've planned for this year. Yes, I know that your heart has just one great desire - To vacation out West in your cowboy attire: To discover the joys of the untamed frontier, And to ride on the horses and lasso a steer, To explore every nook of the great western plains, And to fit the wild bronco with saddle and reins, To attend every square dance and each rodeo, But there's one little thing, son, that you need to know: The economy's bad, and my budget's unsound, So here's fifty cents for the Merry-Go-Round.
