Everybody needs a mighty hero,
Someone who will stand for what is right.
Fair, impartial, blind to every bribe,
But he must take my side in every fight.

Everybody needs a mighty hero,
Someone who will risk his life and limb,
But he must be so strong, a man of steel,
Not even atom bombs could damage him.

Everybody needs a mighty hero
Who can save us out of every scrape -
But he must be a rugged, handsome guy,
And not look silly wearing tights and cape.

Everybody needs a mighty hero,
Someone who can help our city's cops;
He'll be on call each day and every night,
But he must tarry for some photo ops.

Everybody needs a mighty hero,
A man with whitest teeth and golden locks,
Who else would we agree to see each day,
Looking out from every Wheaties box?

Everybody needs a mighty hero,
Someone who can stop a speeding bus,
A man who's smart enough to foil each crime,
But dumb enough that he would work for us.
