I walk the road alone; It leads me to nowhere. I am without a past and without a home On this never-ending stair.
Who calls to me this lonely night? Who beckons from the dark? It is only my shadow in the moonlight. Striking me, it leaves no mark. It, too, takes to flight From this landscape cold and stark.
Nothing is my companion, Emptiness my only friend. If I knew where time went wrong, Would my world begin to mend?
