 | Written while driving in the middle of the night. Inspired by the strangeness of returning to a place that once felt comfortable, coupled with the realization that it's no longer where you belong and that returning brings with it baggage that was left behind there. I found myself wondering what it would be like to leave it all behind me. | | This post has been awarded 30 stars by 8 readers. |
I'm counting miles as I go, Wondering how long 'til I reach someplace I know And a life I've left behind. These words are all for show, Hiding things I would have no one know Behind cleverly painted plastic smiles.
Maybe I'll keep going, Just keep on driving, Right on past my destination. Maybe I'll keep rolling, Keep on living life Without these reservations.
