Here in these moments
When you remember to breathe.
Just breathe,
In…
Out…
And know that is enough,
Enough for now.

I wish I could take away your pain.
Free you from this heavy chain.
That my love could heal you,
Help you see the world anew.

Instead I listen.
I can only hope and pray
And breathe,
In…
Out…
Sometimes for the both of us.
That’s enough for now.

Wishes don’t take away the tears
Listening won’t erase the fears.
All my love still leaves the pain.
I know because I’ve been the same.

But in this moment
Won’t you remember to breathe?
Just breathe,
In…
Out…
Believe that is enough,
Enough for now.

Tomorrow is another day,
And come whatever may,
It all will pass away.
Only love will ever stay.

So take this moment,
And we’ll remember to breathe.
Just breathe,
In…
Out…
I know that is enough.
Nothing else matters now.
Just breathe.

One of my favorite Grisham novels; this story makes me laugh more than any of his others.
