Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by Jessablue on February 14, 2009
"After observing the sheep-like nature of a few men who follow their less than in love gals around, I got the urge to write this."

Her Hand

Her hand, her hand. Wrist and dangling finger.
Handsomely my paw should slide
With haste! I could not linger.
Within in vestal laugh might I reside?

That I am proud should say the least.
Trembling, my bosom swells.
Nay, nay, cannot restrain this beast.
The red drum pounds.

A man, my bride has made.
O, this wedded tide will flow.
Where one shore draws another may fade
Yet never beach upon the shallow.

Come, how do you perceive me
O those words, deafen me.
I will myself a fool.
Hush, continue in that you deceive me.
