Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by KC Rell on September 3, 2008
"If you don't get this poem, because I know my family didn't, read my comment below AFTER you read the poem =]"

I will always love you

I will always love you.

Those words
ring in my head,
over and over.
My boyfriend
has said it
on the phone.
I was sure of it.

I told her I loved her
because I do.
Should I?

We're getting married
next month
and I love him.
He loves me.

I love her.

He loves me.

But she doesn't love me.
No, no,
she doesn't.

How can he think that?
It was just one
fight.
We'll get over it.
We always do.

I helped her pick out
a dress,
and she looked beautiful.

He seemed uncomfortable.

I love her.

I love him.

As the sun falls,
he'll be my boyfriend.
As it rises,
he'll be my husband.
We'll be happy.

She'll be happy.
I love her.

It is my wedding,
and I am about to say
yes.
Should I?

She should say yes.
She'll be happy
if she does.

Will I?

Look behind you,
and see me
before you go.

The best-man.

Who'd have thought
that phone call
was me.
But she won't
think that;
no she won't.

It was my boyfriend
who called.

No it wasn't.
I love you.

I love my boyfriend,
who is now my husband
because I just said yes.

She said yes;
she'll be happy now.

Will I?

I will always love you.
