"Pardon my first attempt at poetry, but I figured I had to start sometime... :-P

No, this didn't really take 0 minutes to write, I wrote it elsewhere and pasted it in here.

EDIT 2/17/08 - Of course, if I'd known that this week's writing prompt was poetry, I would have posted this there instead. Oh well..."

Error

I turned on my computer this morning
To this, a drastic warning:
“Application failed!” my computer roared,
“Abort, Retry, Ignore?”

All the day long,
This was my computer’s song
Till finally I threw it out the door,
And still it sputtered, the last words it uttered:
“Abort, Retry, Ignore?”

Inanimate Perspective

You seem to think that everything I do wrong is my fault! Do you have any idea how unfair that is? It's not my problem that every time something gets messed up I get brought here! I'd much rather stay at home.

But noooo, at the slightest hint of something going wrong, they bring me to you, and you fiddle with me, and tinker with me, and take me apart! Do you know how much that hurts? Especially when you don't put me back together right?

Then after you've taken me apart and put me back together wrong, you send me back to them and they just break me again! You stupid computer technician!! Have you ever stopped to think that maybe Microsoft should have designed an operating system that people can't mess up?!?

A bit of a love story

I gaze into your face, and your radiance reflects back on mine. My fingers gently touch you, you constantly amaze me.

Oh that we could be together always! We are the perfect match. Come with me, I can take you places you've never been before.

I'm sorry I threw you out last week! Don't let my momentary fit of anger deceive you; even I lose my temper when your motherboard dies!
