Favorite BooksThe Fellowship of the Ring , The Two Towers , The Return of the King , The Crystal Cave , The Hollow Hills , The Last Enchantment , The Last Battle, AboutI'm 18 right now. I've been working on a fantasy trilogy for several years now, which I'm still working on. I may be posting some of the pieces that I write for that occasionally.
I'm at a point in my life right now where people are always asking me "What do you want to do when you grow up?" and I hate that question, because I really don't know. I believe that my life is in God's control, and I don't know what he'll use me for.
Something else that's probably notable about me, is that I've been homeschooled my entire life, up 'til this semester. People often ask me if I miss out on making new friends. To be quite honest, I don't. Whenever someone asks me that, I always think "And if I were going to public school, how many of those 'friends' would be very healthy characters to be around?"
Oh, just some random facts about me.... I love the music from TLOTR, King Arthur, PotC, and all kinds of other soundtracks. I bake bread when I have the time. I work at my dads computer store. I guess that with a full college schedule, I'd better get back on my homework....
Reading ListMy FavoritesMessages WOW Dec 5, 2008 | Sorry you were in such a hurry that you forgot your lunch. Guess I'll have to have a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch! | Hannah Nov 27, 2008 | LOL. I know how that is. I can get my drivers licence (is that how you spell that? I'm having a brain jam right now and can't think straight. Hate it when that happens), I just haven't gotten around to taking the test. :P Half of it is that my mom is a maj0r procrastinator. It's really hard to bug her constantly to take me when everytime she has a new excuse. *growls* lol. It's mostly my fault, though. I got the procrastinating gene from her. (Oh, and I just looked it up. License is spelled with an 's' in America but a 'c' in Britain. I'm British!) | Hannah Nov 27, 2008 | Oooh, are you a certified technician or whatever, because then I could show her that message and yell, "hah!"............That probably wouldn't be such a good idea though, right? :P My brother's a computer whiz. He made her our computer and put Windows Vista on it. I'm terrible with computers (seriously, I touch anything electronical and it fizzles with little lighting bolts and then self-destructs), but I had heard that Windows Vista was giving people problems. When I asked my brother about it, he said it wouldn't if you knew how to use it. I was like, "We're four girls who know clos to nothing about computers. I know how to open the internet. That's it! We don't know how to use it!" But of course, I wasn't listened to...lol.
| Hannah Nov 26, 2008 | We already should probably do that! Our computer keeps freaking out. We probably do have a virus. I think it's just because we have Windows Vista, though. My mom thinks it's because of YouTube. :D | Loving God the write way Oct 30, 2008 | Well, when I wrote it, I was just writing it off the top of my head and I was just trying to finish it. | Douglas Oct 21, 2008 | well, you can try emailing to my virtu-software.com address, which rarely gives people relay problems.
Or just post a message here. | Douglas Oct 20, 2008 | Have you set a time? Tell your group to dress warmly, including bring gloves and a hat, because it's going to be very chilly on top of that mountain. | Katie Oct 16, 2008 | Drat. Well, I suppose that just goes to show you how much attention I pay to you. :-P ;-)
You never did tell me what you want to be when you grow up. *innocent look* | Katie Oct 16, 2008 | Did you change your "about" section? ^o) Or has it just been so long since I've read it that I didn't remember what you had said in there? :-S Yeah, don't mind me. So... what do you want to be when you grow up? ;-)
Sorry, I couldn't resist. :-D | Douglas Oct 5, 2008 | Just so ya know, I've had another hiking invitation for Saturday, so I hope you'll let me know soon whether you're planning for this Saturday. :) | Sara Taylor Sep 18, 2008 | may I ask you something? you know that 'fee fi fum' one you wrote? what's that called?I can't find it anywhere...and I was gonna read it to my fam :D haha | WOW Sep 18, 2008 | That's good. We'll be looking forward to seeing you. | Douglas Aug 16, 2008 | So, did you decide if you're going to hike with us? | Douglas Aug 14, 2008 | I promised I'd let you know about Chocorua when we decided to hike that one - it looks like Monday (the day after the family reunion) is probably the day. Hope you can come! | Kalie-j Aug 13, 2008 | thanks for the tip I think it is fixed now | Jonas Aug 12, 2008 | I actually didn't intend for the story to be any longer but I could lengthen it ;) I appreciate the interest.
Interesting...Will there be more? | Douglas Aug 11, 2008 | If you want to do it, and are able, the best way to work this would be for you to come down the night before, and bring some lunch and snacks (sandwiches, granola, water, etc). You can spend the night, have breakfast here at the camp, and then we get right on the road to hike, because I need to be back and ready to preach by 4:30. | Douglas Aug 11, 2008 | I'd like to try Ragged Mountain, which is in the Camden/Rockport area. | Douglas Aug 10, 2008 | Currently Wednesday is looking like the nicest day. | Douglas Aug 9, 2008 | Tues, Wed, Thurs look like they might be decent hiking days... |
