Where Experience and Expectation Collide

Posted by Janee, Jan 10. 96 views. ID = 483
This post was written in 30 minutes.
This short little poem is a bit depressing, but I didn't mean for it to be. I wanted to point out that life has a way of wearing people down, and sometimes no one else knows or realizes it.

Where experience and expectation collide -
a procession of foaming waves
bursting with cruel ferocity
upon rigid, unyielding rock,
inexorable and unending -
Hope blindly succumbs to hopeless demise,
slowly eroding, washing away
unseen and unnoticed
in silence.
