 | Written on my iPhone while walking back from school on the first above freezing day in ages. Spring has sprung, I think. | | This post has been awarded 19 stars by 4 readers. |
It's actually rather quite pleasant today
The sun's out and shining the birds are quite gay
I know that the sidewalks are covered in slush
And the dog poop once frozen is now turned to mush
But they say to be thankfull for all that you've got
And it isn't too freezing nor terribly hot
So I guess that it's really quite pleasant today
The sun's out and shining and the birds are all gay

Comments gabemay Mar 2, 2010 | I love the message to this poem, however, I think using the word "gay" was a little too forced, I mean, the evolution of that word has changed alot over time...but I still know what you mean and I love it! ~Posted by gabemay, Mar 2, 2010 |
