This post was written in 2 minutes.
I actually wrote this at the end of April but forgot about it till now.

Summer was nice while it lasted
though it wasn't too terribly long
Yes, summer was nice while it lasted
'bout the length of one long country song

Oh summer was warm and quite pleasant
we got to hold one class outside
But summer was gone in a minute
when fall began hitting her stride

Now it's windy and cold every morning
with barely a break close to noon
But that's just how it is in the northland
summer's lucky to stay long past June

A novel of African tribal life, this book by Chinua Achebe has a rhythm all its own.
