Wave Pool

This post was written in 7 minutes.
My friend took me to the wave pool with some other friends for her birthday. She said it would be fun. It wasn't. I was not expecting waves that big, or to get run over by a double wide inner tube and lose my glasses. It probably wouldn't have been so bad except she wanted to hang out in the deep end and I'm a foot and a half shorter than her and couldn't toutch the bottom. On the bright side I got new glasses out of it. The other frames were six years old anyway.

I never knew quite how it felt to be a drowning rat
tossed in a wave six times your size with no clue where you're at
To pray to God you will not drown and keep you're head afloat
to choke and sputter and get hit by life rings as they float
I never knew quite how it felt to be a drowning rat
Until I went to the wave pool and found no fun in that
