The Greatest Book Ever Written

This is what the autobiography of a very vain author might sound like to me.

What is the greatest book ever written? Some claim that the greatest book ever written is War and Peace while others claim it to be Moby Dick. Many people firmly beleive it is the Bible, while eleven year old Jamie Smith who lives across the street insits beyond all rhyme or reason that it is the first book of Harry Potter.

Now, I'm not saying that any of these people are right, and I'm not saying that any of them are wrong either. It's just that I've been getting a lot of rave reviews lately and it seems to me, as a matter of personal taste, that given some time (maybe ten or twelve years for the author to die) I might just have the potential to become the greatest book ever written.

This is the novel which introduces us, for the very first time, to Agatha Christie's Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot.
