As I was walking in the park today I spied a pheasant by the way I wondered at his pretty head his coloring of rust and red then fancied he'd look better dead and served up with a slice of bread

Comments Jessablue Feb 9 | that second line seems kind of off, are you trying to say you saw the pheasant by the way as in along the walk, using the word "way" to refer to the path you took? Or as in "by the way, I saw the pheasant." ?
I really like this though, I love poems with comedic twists at the end. ~Posted by Jessablue, Feb 9 | wordsmith Feb 11 | Way was meant to refer to the path. I saw the pheasant on the side of the path. ~Posted by wordsmith, Feb 11 |
