 | I was outside in the spring air two years ago when I wrote this. I just found it in one of my many notebooks. I was going through a really...hard(understatement of the year) time, and this poem was the result of a lot of time with me punching helpless trees. :P | | This post has been awarded 12 stars by 4 readers. |
As in crowds hushing sudden noise, sudden pain. I feel the heat of an ant stuck under a magnifying glass. The wind ruffles through my hair as the wild, fierce power shoots across the sky. It caresses me like a mother does a new baby. It flows down my neck. My goose bumps rise, my face tingles in unexpected senses. The crickets move across the tall grass, pouncing like large bouncing balls or shooting stars. The sun beats down as the water trickles across the rocks. My tear-streaked face rises to heaven's mantle as I cry to the empty and cold air. I scream to the wind and the stream. As in crowds hushing sudden noise, sudden pain.
