I want the reader of this poem to try to figure out what it means. What it means to them, not just to the writer.

I sit quietly
My brain running
A hundred miles a minute
I look over to my radio
Playing my favorite record
Girl bands singing of lost love
Boy bands singing of love found

I take a deep breath
I breathe long and hard
My heart skips a beat
I feel the weight on my chest
The heavy, dead weight
The familiar weight of times lost
Of hope needed

"As long as there is life
there is hope"
