Eeyore

This short story kind of reminds me of Eeyore. :) If you notice the objects names, you might be able to figure out what they are. :)

I feel useless, just something that no one notices. Philip, over on Macy, is used every day. He is held and fought over; he is thrown back and forth and used to keep Sanyo with energy. I feel as if Philip is mocking me. Constantly laughing that he gets a comfortable spot on Martha and I get the hard, white tiled floor.

I am used. I know that I am needed, it would just be nice if someone would pay a little more attention to me. The humans laugh or cry when they stare at Sanyo, they're comfortable when they lay on Martha, and they fight constantly over Philip. I wish I was fought over. I was just thrown haphazardly on the ground, next to the door.

I am just too much of a push over. I can't let them walk on me any more. I can't let them use me just for stepping on. I was made of the best fabric, so why shouldn't I be clean? Instead of having mud and dirt on me all of the time.

Okay, if you didn't figure it out, Macy is a coffee table, Philip is a remote, Sanyo is a TV, and Martha is a couch. Macy's, the store, sells furniture, Philips is a remote brand, Sanyo is a TV brand, and Martha is for Martha Stewart. :)

 Doug's Library

A wonderful fantasy series set in modern England, but filled with elements of Arthurian legends.
