As I look upon you,
my precious little love,
this feeling washes over me,
'tis a gift from above.

You were sent down to me
just to prove me wrong.
I still can't believe
that you came along.

Every day you're with me,
I feel my Savior's love,
and the gift of forgiveness
that was sent down as a dove.

I do not deserve you,
I have done too much.
I don't feel like I
have deserved your precious touch.

I carried you in my belly
such a long time.
I knew you before you came out;
you were already mine.

So I will raise you,
as I have been instructed to do,
and I will learn to forgive others,
as I was taught by you.

This is the novel which introduces us, for the very first time, to Agatha Christie's Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot.
