The summer's drawl is beating on
And everything is warm.
The sun shines and the clouds hide.
Lazy steams of sunlight
Press against my skin.
And yet as I wipe the sweat,
I fail to complain...
For soon the winter will settle in,
And summers drawl will surely end.Copyright 2013 gabemay. All rights reserved. FifteenMinutesOfFiction.com has been granted non-exclusive rights to display this work. For permission to reprint this item, please contact the author.
