Sorrow

bringing shame and authentic tears that
unbearably gnaw past through my innerness.
reaping the sins of my past, I begin to sow
nasty honesty and righteous amendments.
irrepressible sadness grips my throat and chest;
never am I soothed as those affected by my inflictions bluntly say no.
gallons of consistent spasms of utter sorrow flood my everything.

blasted by the truth now dawning
registering that past loved ones
insist on refusing
dire desperation brings mourning
God is the only one there
ever sorrowful I repent
sorrow guilt and then....
