In the far, far away land of Turkey, there lies the magnificent city of Istanbul, which is uniquely situated, among all cities of the world, as the only city which spans two continents. From the bridge over the Bosphorus, you can look east toward the exotic Orient, then turn and look to the west, toward Europe with its populous cities, all the while having one foot firmly planted on each continent.
If Istanbul can stand so proudly one two continents, it seems unfair and unreasonable that everyone keeps telling me to stop straddling the fence.
