Somebody
once knew this room,
this empty shell
was once a home,
and somebody
once memorized
this rotten space,
and tucked away
that memory
inside their brain,
which now is dust
inside a box
of soil and rust,
and far removed
from the empty room,
which soon will meet
its resident's doom.
