Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction
The following is a piece of writing submitted by Pasameerday on October 30, 2013
What do I see?
Dark,Green, swirling green.
Two patches of grass in an ivory sea,
islands, safety.
A crow in the centre spreading his wings
Yet not quite ready to fly.
The grass sways in a gusting wind,
Will it be uprooted?
No.
Strength, power.
The eagle in the sky above one of the islands.
The hoods hooked over them that keep them safe
Protect me.
His eyes, I see him sleeping and they're gone,
And I am left alone.
In the mirror I see mine.
Dark,
Green, swirling green
Two patches of grass lost in an ivory sea
