Percussive sounds of winter rain descending,
Pelting brusquely on the window pane:
That's Mother Nature, gleefully upending
All our plans for joyful, snowy play.
And we, encumbered by our expectations,
Hear the windblown rain with pure disgust;
While she, uncaring for our vain impatience,
Raises laughing howls on lukewarm gusts.
