The twisting roads in Maine wind round-about, Between the rolling hill and mountain top; Pragmatic builders took the lowest ground, So those who share the roads look ever up.
Not so the roads in hilly New York state; Quixotic builders dreamed on grander scale And carved their roads into the highest hills So we look down on sweet pastoral vale.
