I had forgotten about Double Dactyls. It's a rather challenging form of poetry to write. I stumbled across this one yesterday: Wiffity Woffity (A Double Dactyl) and decided to to try writing one about our first president.

Chopped down a cherry tree
When just a child;

All of this foolishness,
Historiographers
Tell us, is only a
Legend most wild.

PS - a historiographer is not a historian. Instead of studying history, a historiographer studies how the stories of history are recorded, or passed from one generation to the next.
