Hiker's Prayer

Posted by Douglas, Jun 23, 2009. 391 views. ID = 2688
This post was written in 1 minutes.
Tomorrow I have to hike a mountain in preparation for a week of Wilderness Camp. Unfortunately, the weather is supposed to be miserable.

This poem actually has a pun in it, because the name of the mountain I'm hiking tomorrow is the last two words of the poem.

If we must hike on wet and dreary day,
O'er slick and rainy boulders all around,
Then let us take a moment just to pray
That none would ever slip and tumble down.

It was wet and slippery, and we won't take campers up there on a day like that. :)
