The first Hawk poem is a bit more serious: Hawk. This one I was just having some fun, and trying to emulate Ogden Nash just a bit.

Some days I envy you, my feathered friend,
But not on days of cold and howling wind -
To watch you fly today, one would have thunk
That you, my friend, are simply roaring drunk.
