It's never too late to destroy your chances at a full scholarship to the college of your choice - that's what I always say. There I was, captain of the football team, 3.97 grade point average, National Merit Scholar, accepted at MIT, and two thirds of the way through my senior year of high school. And now look at me.

Senioritis, that's what they call it. You've suffered through eleven and a half years of cruel and unusual punishment, otherwise known as elementary and secondary education, and now your class standing is set, your college applications have been put in the mail, delivered, and either accepted or rejected, so you don't see much point to taking notes, studying, doing homework, or even paying attention to the syllabus which tells you when your next exam is.

Only catch is, some of those schools actually pay attention to what you're doing during the second half your senior year, even if you don't. Which is why I'm going to the local community college and working twenty hours a week to foot the bill.

Anyone want a deep dish pepperoni and sausage pizza?

Heh. I know what you mean. Except I'm working at the local computer store to pay for my college expenses. :-P
