Tall and straight, the bare tree stretches his spindly brown branches upward, drinking deeply of the stark yellow rays of warm sunlight and the milder azure tones of a soft and cloudless sky. Deep within, he stirs together these cheerful pastel colors, then paints himself anew in brilliant shades of green.
