Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by CdnGhost on April 12, 2014
"This poem is my first attempt at combining "Blank Verse" with "Contemporary Rhyme". It's message is what we all strive for and a few of us actually achieve.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it."

Always Believe In Magic

Always believe in Magic,
It's the only thing that's real.
At the turn of the 1800's, the Motor Car,
Made Horses "Beloved People, Near",
"People" you could Love and touch and feel.
And be loved for the person you are,
Instead of being let-down and hated
By your cantankerous "Motor Car".

It's terrible prose, I know, my dear,
But think on this, dear, please,
Love binds us together, dear;
Together, life's a breeze.
A warm, leaf-fluttering, sigh,
That only we can hear.
"LIFE" outside, and life within,
Are Worlds apart, my dear.
(I need that understood, you'll see...
Both occupy verse three.)

Outside, "LIFE" roars, as it rolls by,
We hold each other near,
Listening to Magic's sweet Melody,
We've changed our "World" into
A better place, a cozy place,
We've made for you and I.
To "LIFE" we say this simple thing,
To "LIFE" we say, "Good-Bye!".

I love you, with a love that cannot die.
