Poems about beauty: Our society places so much emphasis on beauty, and yet we miss what beauty is all about. ~Posted by Rabbit Stu

This is a series of poems, but the order in which you read them does not matter. They are all poems that talk about beauty in some way or another. Every one of these poems is a bit tongue-in-cheek, but they
all have something serious to say.
One of the most wonderful statements about beauty I have ever found is in the Bible, in the book of I Peter. It says:
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.Beauty is perishable, while the inner qualities of the heart are unfading and imperishable. In fact, while physical beauty can only fade, the inner beauty of the heart can grow and grow, making a life glow with ever increasing loveliness.
Another poem, about beauty and grace. With a bit of a twist.
Ode To A Toad is a poem that asks a serious question about relationships, in the guise of a silly poem
A poem about the fleeting nature of beauty, and the grief it can cause in the lives of those who bear it.
Mother Nature held a grand beauty pageant to determine which species is the most beautiful.
This is a love sonnet I wrote for my true love. I hope it helps you understand how beautiful she is.
