The Coming Cold
The pretty leaves have fallen from the trees.The soft and supple ground begins to freeze.
In places there are traces, white, of snow,
And frigid winds have started in to blow.
Some folks there are, immune to winter’s chill,
Who view the coming season with a thrill,
And forward look, to ski, or sled, or skate.
But me--I wish that I could hibernate.
